On the 3rd of August at 7pm I am going along to this debate about Nuclear Disarmament at the Auckland University Business School.
The moot is "This House Believes the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons is a Pipe Dream". Speakers for the affirmative are Treasa Dunworth, Akif Malik and Curwen Rolinson. For the negative: Max Harris, Jacinda Arden (tbc) and Lyndon Burford. Sponsored by the Peace Foundation, UNYANZ and AUSA International Affairs Officers.
Let us all go together, hold hands and chant "into the earth, into the sky, hoof and horn, hoof and horn, all that dies shall be reborn..." Alternatively, we may discover more practical suggestions brought up over the course of the debate.
