SarcMark.

I have discovered something magic, something joyous, something I neeeeeed in my life.  Something that is only going to cost me US$1.99 and according to the folks at Open Sarcasm, my socialist soul.  What I'm talking about is the SarcMark.  It's a new punctuation mark that is meant to help people signify more clearly when they are trying to be sarcastic.  Just what I've always needed (insert sarcmark here).

No, I actually, I do think it's quite a good idea.  Just think of all the cool places you can use it.  (But only ironically, cynically or with a dead pan expression, otherwise you've missed the point.)

Example One:

 "This guy is so cool I want one of these (insert sarcmark)".  Oh no!  I think I just failed miserably, cos I actually really like this (do NOT insert sarcmark). 

 Example Two:

 "Oooh my head... (insert sarcmark)."  But again with the fail cos it was already pretty obvious that the person was being sarcastic wasn't it?

Hmm...  Maybe if you need to use it, you probably aren't being sarcastic enough.  Therefore my advice to everyone is to up the level of sarcasm and it will solve all our problems.
