Elizaveta's creations are amazing. I came across them a couple of months ago and still feel actively inspired by them.

Sit vis nobiscum
Anthony Georgis
Ah fandom, one of my favourite guilty pleasures. Not saying that I used to read Harry Potter fan fiction or anything, I'm a serious student of literature...

Skin
Today in my lecture for post-colonial literature we got given a sneak peek of the new film Skin that is coming out later this year (or early next). It tells the rather extraordinary story of Sandra Laing, a black girl born to white parents during the period of Apartheid in South Africa. Don't judge it by the trailer, which is much more overstated then the film itself.
I don't know, maybe it's just because it is fresh in my mind, but when I saw these works by

One thing is for sure, I love his work. I think this guy is a genius. A visual symphony. I'm in to it.

Could Be Me
If you haven't already you need to.
"Could be me" is a project exploring possibility of one artist occupying another's space. It is a visual adventure and an interpretation of the same sentence by different artists worldwide . (taken from the site)

Andres Yeah

Superbomba Fantastic
Superbomba's Photostream changed my life. Krisatomic featured the stream a wee while ago and, like them, I lost track of time looking through every single one of the photos.
A friend of mine was talking about how facebook heightens your voyeuristic tendencies, Superbomba is like that times a million for me.

PS I had that inflatable dragon water toy when I was little, not that Nana though.

Psychadelic Kittys
A friend of mine is kitten/puppy/cute furry little animal mad. I initially bought her a vintage top with two kittens on it but was quite annoyed to spy a rather large stain on it when I got it home.
This is what I ended up doing:

This is what I ended up doing:

I embroidered (long stitch maybe?) the background and popped it in a frame. I think she liked it, I'm never sure if my quirky taste in crafts translates to other people as good tacky or bad tacky. It's all the same to me baby. Sorry about the bad quality pic - I snapped a quick one on my web cam. Note to self: charge batteries!
Other stitch inspiration:
I love the idea of a "Fuck You, Get Out of My House" sign stitched in such a traditionally warm way. Amazing.
