Today in my lecture for post-colonial literature we got given a sneak peek of the new film
Skin that is coming out later this year (or early next). It tells the rather extraordinary story of
Sandra Laing, a black girl born to white parents during the period of Apartheid in South Africa. Don't judge it by the trailer, which is much more overstated then the film itself.
I don't know, maybe it's just because it is fresh in my mind, but when I saw these works by

Devin Troy Strother posted on My Love for You is a Stampede of Horses (
link) earlier today, I started thinking that they explore some of the same issues.
One thing is for sure, I love his work. I think this guy is a genius. A visual symphony. I'm in to it.
